is terrorism winning? Bush said that they want to destroy our way of life. Here we sit tearing each other to bits just because we have different perspectives. What is it going to take for us as a nation to work together again?

Brandon- I agree just... think we need more debate and less name calling. We seem so polarized and ... unopen to any other perspective.

We need a president who is a leader instead of a "Decider."
Bush has fractured this country. I've seen Republicans who have been strong leaders as well as Democrats but I've never seen anything like him and until we get someone in the whitehouse who can set the tone of what we once represented as a country you are going to see this stuff. Ever heard the term "It rots from the top down" it's frequently used in business and it certainly applies to Bush and this Whitehouse.

Would it be more suitable to just remain quiet like the N.Koreans and take what we feel is injustice within the government. We seek change from a corrrupt system.. Look at peoples view of our current Congress!

If by fighting you mean debating, well, its the way civilized people counter someone else's point of view. With the war on terror, emotions run high on both ends, but as I see it, its because we are very interested in the outcome of this.

I think that's more from Bush and Co. than the terrorist. All the allegations of lacking patriotism if you don't support the war is why i'm so pissed.
It's a good way to divide a country, and i don't think it's an accident. but it's happened before in the 60's, we'll be alright.

Bush said that to get you scared so that he can do whatever he wants. It's like a magician...all eyes are on the pretty assistants while he does his *magic*.

Terrorism is literally meaning to cause reform through terror causing tactics the only way terrorism would win is if we change our government to their demands which hasn't happened we fight with each other to make progress, to weigh any and all concepts us fighting is the very definition of democracy if we all decided one way why even bother voting?
