i was messing with the function keys and now this alarm goes off everytime i start it. did i enable something. a memory test or sfafety alarm it is loud beeps the laptop seems to work fine after it starts but i am also having intermiten problems with the touch pad also sometimes it will not work until after i touch some keys on the keyboard. all this was after i was messing with the function keys running vista

The Beep heard while it`s powering ON could be due to the fact that one of the keys on the keyboard might be stuck, check all the keys individually.For you touch pad problem you can check the manufacturer`s website and re-install the touch pad drivers.
