or is Bush in league by himself?
It seems the closest I can get a Republican to say that Bush is a liar is for him or her to say "oh well...can you tell me an honnest politician"? or "Clinton lied too". lol
Sure many politicians have been accuses of being less than forthcoming, or make promises that they dont keep. Sure Clinton lied about not having sex with that woman.
But can't you tell the difference between those and the systematic intentional repeat and blatant attempts to either mislead americans, pull the wool over their eyes, or just outright invoke executive privilege as often as Nixon did during watergate???
Clearly Bush has broken the mold. I dont care what party you belong to, you have to at least admit that.

I agree. Bush is a huge liar.
To cover for him, the republicans attempt to hide behind the accusation that all politicians lie. Sure most politicians are not always honnest. But Bush is not your ordinary liar. He is the king of the liars.

I honestly believe that most politicians lie. Not all. In defense of any politician, sometimes they must lie or not say something because it is confidential sensitive information that the public must not know until a given time. This generally pertains to national security, not scandals. Many people accuse Bush of lying about many different things. Keep in mind that one must ignore what he knows to be fact and say something different to lie. If Bush had bad intelligence going into Iraq, he was not lying, he was mislead along with many other leaders. Yes, he has handled the war poorly at some stages which has given him a bad rap. That doesn't make him a liar.

All politicians lie. I am a conservative and do freely admit that Bush lies frequently. However I think the standard for lying was set by Bill Clinton and it appears that Hillary is carrying on with the family tradition.

probably through fact they're attempting to delight definitely each physique. those with uncomplicated experience understand which you won't be able to grant each physique what they desire for all time. So what do you do once you have 3 hundred+ million human beings all screaming for some thing distinctive? i think there are some honest politicians yet they do no longer look to be those we could pay attention from. we want people who're maximum commonplace, who will let us know what we could pay attention despite if it is not in the applicable pastime of each physique.

politics is all about half-truths they will say "I fully support family values such as honoring marriage blah blah blah" what they won't tell you is that this will be at the expense of education or medicine and yes bush is full of half truths too problem is he isn't discreet about them he stuck with what he said (like the family values thing above) but did a bad job of covering up what suffered no politician tells the absolute truth but most won't tell a flat-out lie ever either (i said most cause of good ol clinton)

They are blatant opportunists.
If it is convenient to twist the truth even just a little, they will do it.
Honest politicians would not be very successful, they would be overshadowed by those who will do anything to get the upper hand.

Politicians are all LIARS. With that being said, a President is only as good as the people he surrounds himself with.
