Yes I am an expert in body language as I have been a therapist for 20 odd years, and no I am not a sheep as I have stated I have no opinion on the subject

Cutie read my profile. I dont want to argue with you and I can see that you have strong feelings about this and that is fine but I am just making an observation as I have every right to do just the same as you

Again I am not saying that her body language means she is guilty of anything.I REALLY have no opinion , but the law states innocent till proven guilty, and thats what we have to go with even if opinions are formed.

This story has still to be investigated correctly, I agree with you something is not quite right with the two of them.

I'm NO EXPERT in body language but I do know from personal experience and from councelling others who have lost a child that, people don't behave normally in front of strangers at this time!
Of course they too are 'uncomfortable' and 'feeling guilty' that is what they show in the way they move etc.
Unless you have been through the intense grief that losing a child brings or faced this very situation, I don't think you can say how you would react, or judge how others 'appear' to. But you As a councillor you should know that guilt (even when there is nothing you or anyone else could have done) is a very big part of the grieving process and must have heard the phrase 'IF ONLY' as often as I have.
Like you I'm waiting to see just what 'true' facts emerge before I judge them quilty of anything other than 'human error'

To Whipass Chick and Alsanja - If the McCanns had mentioned suitable on the commencing up "Omg what have we carried out? We have been so stupid. We have been egocentric, we purely wanted a nighttime out devoid of the youngsters and we theory we could save a pair of quid via no longer getting a babysitter. We purely didnt think of. i'm going to by no ability make that mistake back. God forgive me I cant think of roughly something different than a thank you to get maddy back so i'm sorry I cant do to any extent further interviews for you. I cant even think of immediately i'm so apprehensive. I shall by no ability forgive myself" and so on and so on. THEN i could have had luggage of sympathy for them. yet they didnt say any of that. What they actually did became to fail to admit that they were negligent. They swanned off on distant places trip journeys to work out the Pope and to america of a, and that they mentioned that they had purely been "naive". So through fact of that I have not have been given any sympathy for the dad and mom in any respect and that i does no longer be in any respect shocked if that they had some thing to do with it.

Im not an expert in body language, but I have not felt entirely comfortable with they way they have come across since day one. They just dont seem to look the way I would expect someone who has "lost" a child to look. Perhaps I am wrong, I am open minded, but when you look at how other parents in the UK have come across on TV (Sarah Paynes mother for example) it just seems different, I cant put my finger on exactly why, but it just does.

I know what you mean, I was watching a programme on body language the other day, and it spoke of various signs that can imply a person is lying, I must say both the mother and father were showing these signs, the obvious being poking the tongue out after telling a lie. I am no expert, but having the little bit of knowledge on body language that I do have, I did think it strange.

Yes, thefirst thing my mother thought strange was that when Mrs'Mc Cann found her daughter gone, she ran back to her colleagues saying "they've taken her" who the hell is 'they'? From what I've read, it appears both the bedroom door and patio doors were left ajar so that they could have easy access to check on their kids. The first thing one would say is 'I can't find Madeline'. Knowing that they left the doors ajar, would it not be more likely that a 3 year old would wander out looking for her parents? So why then would she say 'they've taken her'? check out this link http://community.verizon.net/thread.jspa?threadID=1700001824

I think she looks sedated. Worn out and exhausted.

As for Gerry, hmmmm. 2 options: either he is an incredibly and unbelievably strong character in severe denial, or he's up to something.

In my non-expert opinion, it is very odd.

mmmm i dunno im in 2 minds about ths but i was a little shocked at the very start, her mum never cried or showed any emotion i think that would be the worst possible thing that could happen to you and so unbearable i wouldnt stop crying. But maybe different people deal with it in different ways i just hope for the childs sake it had nothing to do with her parents and that she will be returned safe and sound i pray to god!!x

Having known people who have lost children I cant compare the McCanns. They just look disappointed! Surely you'd show more emotion or even absolutely -no -emotion -what -so -ever -that -you -look -like -a -zombie when this kind of tragedy happens.

She looks drugged out to me. Possibly self-medicated. As I never saw a picture of her before her daughter's disappearance, I don't know whether she was on medication before, but am quite sure she's on something now.
