I'm trying to figure out if I am one, and if I'm not, do I want to become one!

Wow! I'm amazed at all the different personal definitions.
Hmmmm, I'd say I'm moderately hot for a 45 year old woman, and my hubby likes for me to dress a little more revealing than I care to, so we compromise in that department.
His boss gave us tickets to a ball game tonight, and the whole gang from his work will be there. He made a comment that he's 'taking his trophy wife' to show off. I took it as a compliment, but..........
now I'm not so sure!

First find out what is the meaning of trophy in the eyes of the man you love.
It can mean many things. To one, it can mean an excellent housemaker like Bree in Desperate Housewife.
To another, it can be an object of esteemed value like the Becks family.
To yet another, it can be someone who is just simply lovable till death do them apart. This is my definition.

the very first person to answer this is giving you the best simplest answer. A tropyh wife should not be taken as an insult, or a compliment. its like this, think of yourself as a trophy. at first there is alot of excitment over this trophy. then the trophy gets put on a shelf, and is typaclly used to show off. then put away again... the trophy is very pretty, and thats obvious. but the guy has no real feelings about the trophy wife except lust for ego. age does not matter, its simply seen as the wife was chosen by appearance and nothing else. being a trophy wife sucked. very depressing.

A trophy wife is one that is smoking hot and 20-30 years younger than her husband. The only reason she's around is to be seen and have "The Boys" drool and lust over her. If you want to be wanted for nothing more than to be gawked at by the other 60 yr old men, more power to you, but I would think I had more value than that.

A woman that compliments her husband's taste in women. That's why she is usually younger and very attractive. In a greater sense, she can also be an asset in his line of work, either personally or socially. And many of them are quite happy, contrary to popular belief.

No, you don't. Most women that I've seen were subservient. The guys were extremely proud of that trait. A handful had degrees so they weren't dumb, but pretty quick to follow commands.

My definition: someone who is on the outside appears to be perfect. The perfect: teeth, size, clothes, children, home etc. But most that I know are miserable inside.
