given in a table that a noble gas has peaks at followin m/e values....
m/e=10 relative intensity = 2.0
m/e=11 relative intensity =0.2
m/e= 20 relative intensity =17.8
m/e=22 relative intensity = 1.7

the species is Ne..but the questions ask for the symbol for each species for each m/e value...as i knoe the mass of Ne is 20.0g..why is there the m/e=10 and 11 there??

10 is 20Ne2+ and 11 is 22Ne2+.

Divide the mass by the charge and you get 10 and 11.
