Furthest I've walked was like 4 hours.

You can't walk to the end of the world because the world has no end.

The most I have walked in one day was 8 miles. I dropped off my kids from taking the bus. Went to take the bus back and the dang bus didn't show up so I called the bus and they told me that it already left and I told them no, because I have been waiting for 15min. before the schedule time and 20min's. after so how can that be. The lady said, "Sorry I don't know what else to tell you." I was literally P*ss off. So I had to walk. I was so P*ss off that I was talking to myself about the situation and the thing was is that I had to pay my phone bill. I walked and walk and sure enough about a 1/4 mile the dang bus drove right pass me. (talking to myself again) Look at that dang F****in bus........I was so, you know, and went to pay my bill. Now I went to wait for the other bus after paying my bill and sure enough the same thing happened. (cussing at that bus too) I walked right back to the school to do some volunteer work. I did all that walking and when I was able to borrow a car I checked out how many miles and it was 8 miles. I was so angry that day that it only took me 1hr and 30min. to get there and back. The next day after that walk my feet were SO sore.

While in the Army in 1980 after 30 days of field training in Wyoming we were being bussed back to Colorado Springs Co. The buses stopped in the wilderness and off loaded our Battalion. We road marched back to our post. It was supposed to be 110 miles but the trucks carrying our gear recorded 140 miles in four days. I do the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer every year and that is 26.2 miles on day one and 13.1 miles on day two. For a total of 39.3 miles in two days.
I am a mailman so walking is my life. It's 5 am now and I am going to do three miles before work with my dog. Before I injured my knee last year running a marathon I was running 25 to 35 miles a week.

Would I walk to the ends of the Earth? for the right reason I would try.

Once on a holiday in USA I walked down the bottom of the Grand Canyon and back in one day (from that gift shop - is it Angels something, right down to the bridge and the cabin) - anyway, it was a loooooonnng way and the next day I couldn't walk my legs were so sore. Everyone else was getting donkeys, or staying at the bottom overnight. I don't know how many miles that is, but it's the longest I've walked in one day.

5k - I would walk to the end of earth for a good cause such as NamiWalks. Every journey begins with that first step. In 2007, thousands of concerned citizens in more than 60 communities across the nation will join NAMI's Campaign for the Mind of America and walk together to raise money and awareness about our country's need for a world-class treatment and recovery system for people with mental illness.
