I watched it, but I'm disappointed that I fell asleep before Hillary came on so I need to read what she actually said. I have and still am an Obama supporter, however, I was less than pleased on his answers or his lack of actually giving answers. The two "underdogs" running are the ones that actually SHOULD be president, but they are way to idealistic for mainstream America. John Edward is fake, he just recently "supports" gays for the votes no less. While I think the forum was good, I don't feel like I learned anything new about the candidates. I did find it interesting (but not surprising) that none of the Republican candidates accepted the invitation for a similar forum. This country with all its benefits is still really friggin screwed up.

Juan, I'm surprised, I really didn't get that feeling from her. She was professional and upfront with her questions.

Obama - looked uncomfortable for someone that says he is our champion. I liked his answers for the most part but was unsettled by how uncomfortable he appeared.
Edwards - came off fake and rehearsed, he had sound bites and he aired them to us.
Kucinich - presented himself exactly like he is. this man is open and honest. if he could deliver the message better he would be a front runner
Gravel - came off similar to Kucinich. I think he would make a great talk show host. the guy had me laughing and admiring him. At 77 years old I do not think he could win, but I was impressed with his candor.
Richardson - this man is a bought and paid for politician. when he would not commit to signing a marriage bill if it were sitting on his desk, that sealed his fate. He is pandering for votes, but not ours.
Clinton - she came off sweet and caring, delivery is excellent but when you look at her words there is not a lot of substance there. I see the same maneuvering with words that we saw from some other candidates. I wasn't impressed.
Overall, of the 3 front runners Obama is the only one that impressed me. Of the other 3, Kucinich won my heart and mind. He now has my vote.
I learned to listen when I went to a sales course many years ago. If you listen to the words, they always tell true story.

⥠Unfortunately I didnt get to watch it because I was in school, then made a run to the grocery store, etc. However I have supported John Edwards [[only since I knew about him a couple months ago]]. He seems to be the guy that wants us to have the same rights. You said he was fake... maybe he is.. I'd like to see some more interviews with him to get a vibe if that may be true. I dont wanna vote for a fake.... just the one that is going to full fledged support us AND I'd like the rest of the issues in good standing as well. I'm not sure how I feel Obama.... I guess he sorta makes me feel uneasy and he says that he "struggles as to why we become gay''. [[read it yahoo this morning]]. Either way.... I'll need more insight before I officially decide who to go with, but for now its John Edwards!

Well damn...you pretty much answered your question for me!!! lol.
Im a staunch Obama supporter and have followed his political role for yrs & I can definitely appreciate that he truly does approach lgbt issues at any platform. NOT only in front of LOGO cameras. I do agree that he tiptoed around a few topics, but im wondering if it was 4 time reasons.....
The others (minus Hillary & John) were far to UN realistic for me. America is in no shape or form going to swallow everything at once. It takes baby steps to get things done and they seem to not realize that. It would be NICE if overnight we could have everything handed 2 us on a rainbow lined platter...but its not gonna happen. So it seems as if they're living in a bubble.
Edwards just sucks a.ss, flat out. Sorry.

i tivo'd it. i will watch it in full today, between jobs this morning i fast forwarded to watch about 5 minutes of Hillary.
Joe from the human rights campaign sent out emails a few weeks ago offering lgbt to submit a question for the candidates, mine was aimed at Hillary alone.
like i said i was fast forwarding thru most of it, but i didn't hear him pointedly ask my question, though i believe she brought it up herself, DOMA. and then hung herself with it.
she is the only candidate i have supported fully, but her tiptoe finger pointing DOMA based answers spued garbage, cover ups and lies.
i am so f&%*ing dissapointed.
i am ashamed for her today.
typical political point the finger at someone else with a burocratic edge=hillary.
i will still back her at this point because she has bigger balls than anyone else, and i know she will bring on major changes for the good of the average american citizen,
but i am slightly worried about her flip floping and lying.
dont get me wrong, they all flip flop, they all lie, but, i am looking for an overall change.

I unfortunately had to miss it. My cousin had car troubles and called me up just as the debate was about to start (drat), so between that, trying to tinker and driving her to work I missed the whole thing.
I'm honestly not surprised that it was a bunch of political double talk though from the major candidates -- they know that taking a firm stand on Gay Rights will cost them the election. Sad but true.....sigh.

Wasn't on any of the cable stations here. Didn't have computer access at the time, so I didn't see any of it. But on the news this morning they said Mellissa Etheridge made everyone feel uncomfortable. Did she?

I missed it, I had emergency dental work yesterday and the drugs still had me groggy. Logo will re-air it and will hope to catch it then....
I had a debate with my friend about Edwards, I knew he was fake. I can't stand him....

Obama, in my eyes, comes across as a game show host.
Cheesy grin.
Rehearsed hand gestures.
Repeatitive one-liners.
Overly accentuated strides when walking.
Elongated pauses for dramatic effect when speaking.
Unfunny jokes used to *schmooze* the audience...
Hillary is informed, passionate, personable, strong-willed, consistent, educated, experienced, genuine, unself-concious, happy, relaxed.....

Mike Gravel can do no wrong. Have you seen his video on youtube? He does not say a word in the video but delivers a very powerful message.
