Lots of us who have not liked what the Mcanns have been doing, have been saying for weeks,
Gerry should drop his blog
The Mcanns should be more low-key

They should be look at for Neglect
No more tours

Faith, we have all been talking about Gerry & Kate, and keeping all this in the spotlight as you say has done nothing to find Madeleine, so your point is?

Just looked on Sky's website and they have acknowledged that the investigation is "taking a new turn" with Murat about to lose his "arguido" status.

They also have changed publicists (again) within the last two days.

This is what we call "damage limitation" in the entertainment world. Celebrities do it all the time. When they get bad press, they all of a sudden get interested in some philanthropic venture. When they are criticised for spending too much time jetting around while somebody else raises their kids, they do puff pieces with their children (whom they otherwise never see) on their knees.

I believe the main reason they decided not to take the twins to the creche is because somebody woke up and realised it is contributing to the (not unreasonable) assumption that the McCanns are either incapable of looking after their own children or they don't want to. The fact that the August arrivals at Mark Warner are unhappy about having their own children in the media's sights is secondary.

I believe once the McCanns had been in the Algarve for a few weeks they made a conscious decision to retire from their jobs. Oh, sure, they wanted the NHS to keep them on full compassionate pay for as long as possible and did not resign, but now they're talking about making full-time careers out of what they have learned about child abduction. Just like their relatives have made full-time careers out of running "Team McCann", which is paid for by the fund which is supposed to be used to find Madeleine.

Somebody has finally got the message that a blog written by a pure egotist about his haircuts and his wife's personal best in jogging was making even the most avid supporters of the couple scratch their heads in bewilderment.

The penny finally dropped for the couple's media handlers when Gerry McCann took a "tour too far" by going to the United States - hoping to meet the First Lady while all the while admitting that nobody thought his daughter had possibly been carted across the Atlantic.

Now, if they would just go home to Rothley - it is so obvious that NOBODY in Portugal wants them there anymore - not the tourists nor the residents and especially not the Portuguese - so what are they waiting for - to be tarred and feathered and ridden out on a rail?

extra often than no longer there would be purely one undertaking, the whereabouts of Maddy and her risk-free return. regrettably, with the aid of fact the McCanns abandoned their little ones many times and not using a babysitter, in an unlocked room, no longer seen or audible and of sufficient distance to be no longer able to intervene ought to one be abducted (QED) to circulate out for the night ingesting and ingesting and their blatant attempt to deflect blame by using going OTT in this ridiculous international excursion and %nonsense we are confronted with 2 themes. The latter being the McCann's behaviour, which has been mendacious, deceitful, self-pitying, chilly, mercenary and self-absorbed. it somewhat is a given all of us desire to make certain Maddy thoroughly back yet attendant to that we've the strangest "parents" ever manipulating the media whose paper-promoting undertaking is rapid working dry and could turn to their culpability as rapidly as you are able to practice a on a regular basis irrelevant blog.

If the McCanns had done what they are doing now, you & i would not have been discussing them all these weeks. They did what they did, to keep their missing Madeleine in the news, and a darn good job of it they did too.

Now, that the world is sitting up & interested in them, they can sit back & let the investigation take its course.

On the "Is there any proof that Maddy was abducted?" thread 6 of the anti-McCanns gave crispy a thumbsdown for saying "just hope the little girl is found alive and well" .The anti-McCann brigade have lost all credibility, this is just a hate campaign. You give the thumbs up to anyone who agrees with you, the thumbs down to anyone who doesn't, the facts have become largely irrelevant, you even make jokes about it.

Well the mystery has not been solved yet and they haven't been charged with child neglect yet either.

and some more - donate all that money to a proper missing children's charity and let police to do their job and stop whipping up the media which is hindering a proper and thorough investigation.
