when put together? like maybe CO3 and NaOH? Please provide the chemical sentence. Also, how can you test whether the nature of a liquid is alkaline? Any experiments? thank u

Carbonates are bases, like alkalis. So carbonates and alkalis do not react.
To test whether a liquid is alkaline simply determine whether the pH is greater than 7, using an acid-base indicator like litmus, Universal Indicator solution or a pH meter.
