And if someone wants to object because I am WAY too young - I can take that!

Otherwise - first question on this page.

When do you begin to feel any different than how you felt when you were 18?

OK - I've got a few aches and pains where I never used to have them, and the knees make strange noises when I (attempt) to bend down - but apart from that - not a lot has changed.

Although the man I married is not looking as young as he was!
He seems to be changing - although looking at him now in the garden - he aint so bad with the shirt off and the sun shining on the sweat of his back!

Whoa there - remember your age girl!

There again .............. it is my birthday!!!!!

Happy birthday young lady! I am 64 and in answer to your question I can't claim to feel as overall vibrant as I did at eighteen but I simply do not feel old in any sense of the word...yet. I think if you have good health you are going to feel like you always did so long as you avoid mirrors. I don't think you really feel old until you begin to fail in physical ways. I too have aches and pains but they all remind me of my youth where they originated. I can feel a pain in my back or leg and remember the very day I first felt that same pain and what caused it. I thought it healed years ago but every once in a while it comes back as a reminder. But I can still do it all and give little thought to my age while I'm doing it. I do make adaptations for some things that are harder for me now than back in my thirties but can still handle the task, whatever it might be, so I'm fine with that.

Happy birthday. The best is yet to come.
You'll get used to having to be reminded you're not 18 anymore. Joints and muscles are experts at reminding you.
I'm 57 and I don't feel much different than when I was 30. Remember, exercise is the fountain of youth.

Happy Birthday. Wel-come-on-in. Sad news though your warranty just ran out and parts you never even knew you had are going to start breaking down. I always wanted to be older so now that I am I am enjoying the heck out of it. I always told my mother when she made that wonderful statement just wait until you get to be 18 or have kids my response was always don't worry about it I won't live to see 18 let alone have kids and here I am a lot older than 18 and now have my first great grand baby. Life is a banquet to quote from the movie Auntie Mame and most poor suckers are starving. Eat up, enjoy and LIVE, LIVE, LIVE!!!!!!!

You bet the more the merrier. Happy Birthday! I'm seventy three and I don't think the mind ever ages in this feeling. I don't think this reads well. Hard for me to put into words. My friends talk about this issue. Reading on with your question my thoughts are in a different area. In my head I haven't aged. The body ages but it seems the mind doesn't. Looking at your last entry this activity does not change you have many years of pleasure to experience. Age has nothing to do with it.

Come on in the water's fine! LOL! I turned 50 this past March. I had a fit about it from January until the day it happened because I don't FEEL or LOOK middle aged so HOW could that absurd number be happening to ME?
Once the day came I was fine. Nothing cataclysmic happened and I couldn't imagine what I'd made all that fuss about!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU AND MANY, MANY MORE!

Happy Birthday!!! I'll be 54 in a few months, and that "18 yr old" still lives in me as well. The body is broken but the spirit thrives! Enjoy your day!!

~Happy Birthday~ You're more than welcome to join us here. We're a fun group & we share a lot of laughs here. I can't wait to get on the computer each morning, coffee cup in hand, to see what new questions have been asked so I can answer them as well. So come on in & join us. Age is just a number & although I'm 60, I still feel like a teenager mentally, but sometimes, my aches & pains remind me that I'm not. Have a wonderful 50th. :)

HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! YA MADE IT!!!!

I'm almost 52, and unless I really have to think about that, I pretty much still believe I'm somewhere in the mid 20's age wise. It's TRUE - I can't run as far, walk as fast, wait as long in line at the concert to use the bathroom, and I own stock in L'Oreal hair color products. OTHERWISE, I refuse to "conform" with society and the "way" I'm "supposed" to look and/or act. WHY SHOULD I - - I've EARNED my right to be what I wanna be - the school of hard knocks and bumpy roads taught me plenty!!!

CRANK UP YOUR STEREO, BUY A NEW PAIR OF SUPER TIGHT JEANS, PUT ON A TON OF BRIGHT FLASHY MAKE UP, GRAB YOUR SWEETIE AND HAVE A BLAST!!!! YOU GO LADY!!!! ROCK ON!!!!!

Welcome to the 1/2 century club. I still feel 30 and I am 57. Can't help what the outside looks like, only know how I feel inside.

So far so good, health-wise!
