Love is not always a mutual thing. You can love someone with all your soul but they cannot love you back because they do not feel as profound of attraction towards you. Its really blissful to fall in love but heartbreak can leave scars that are permanent so be careful and observant of people in the future. Some people are mentally incapable of falling in love again after heartbreak. I am one of them. When people do get their hearts broken they tend to look on love bitterly but some can hark back with fond memories to their first love. To be in the latter category is better I think.
Its an experience everyone must go through to become wiser
Certain people have really insensitive natures, watch out for them. They are the ones who would break your heart and don't give a damn.

Your question is broad. There are a great many circumstances under which one can feel their heart has been broken, some reasonable, some not. Sometimes to do the right thing, someone else may get hurt. If your lover leaves you, it may be because they need something you can't give, and they not only want to seek what they need, but to give you the chance to be with someone who can love you in return. Sometimes people make choices about their lives (i.e. choosing to be gay) and parents take it personally and feel heartbroken, though it really has no reflection on them. On the other hand, sometimes people make selfish and stupid choices, such as cheating or doing drugs, which are harmful to themselves and those who love them. Why? Not sure. Sometimes it's self sabotage because they can't come to terms with something going right for them. Sometimes it's spite, or they're reacting to a past hurt from someone else, that is the 'I'll get you before you get me' reflex, or kicking the cat (i.e. taking out frustrations on someone who is weaker). It's too complicated to sum up briefly.

There are many reasons why people break hearts of people who love them.
Sometimes people become very selfish and think of only how they can't 'adjust or tolerate' the people who love them anymore.
Sometimes people hate to do this but they have to because they know that this relationship will make all of them unhappy and unsatisfied.
Sometimes people do this to make the people who love them happy. They know that it will cause them a lot of pain but they have to carry on because they know that the ending of this relationship will only lead to a better life for their loved ones afterwards.

Humans have the tendency to become insensitive, sometimes they don't care or mind what their loved ones will feel. These people tend to forget the love and care given their loved ones. The most hurting and heartbreaking part really is when it comes from the person you really loved. I believe this is normal in life. Every individual is not born the same. There will always be a black sheep in the family.

Selfishness. Self centerdness, being human.
If the heart doesn't break then there really wasn't love to begin. Those we love the most have the power to hurt us the most. Often it isn't on purpose because we all interrupt things in a different way.

Selfishness and a lack of appreciation.
When you love someone and they love you, you will do almost anything for them and they will do almost anything for you. This support will eventually be taken for granted. You will both become complacent and think that you can get away with anything. You also feel very open and comfortable around them and will not be afraid to criticize them with the best intentions.

this is very normal>>nothing new about it that sum1 breaks ur heart when u luv him/her.this is just because we think that v luv that person but actually that person slowly starts getting irritated.and hence the end is that the guy or a gal leaves u 4ever :-( so u should luv ppl to an xtend and always smile even if no one can value ur luv
