I answered your question, yesterday.
The two statements mean completely different things and have no connections.
"Charity........." means give to your own family and friends before you give to others in need. Read my other answer to see what the other means.

You could start your speech with something like :
"Citizenship is a prize to be valued. Movies such as Green Card demonstrate how those in nations around the world value the prize of being a citizen of the USA. However, everyone is a global citizen but do not value it or consider it a prize.
Does being a G.C. mean more than just being alive? If it doesn't, IT SHOULD!"

"Global citizenship begins at home" would describe the things that homeowners can do to protect the environment and make things better for others in the world.

Recycling would be an important thing you could do at home that helps you be a good global citizen. Also, not overusing pesticides, fertilizers, and herbicides as these impact the water runoff into streams, rivers, and ultimately the ocean. Also disposing of toxic substances correctly such as used motor oil. The car you drive can also be construed as making you a good global citizen as your choice affects gas consumption and pollution output. Hybrid cars and cars that run on Ethanol come to mind. Hydrogen cars do not pollute as they exhaust fresh water. Conserving electricity ultimately conserves resources used to generate it. Water conservation, solar power, yard waste disposal and wood burning stove technology could also be topics in your report. There are many things that you can do at home that make you a better global citizen, and some might help save the homeowner some money also, especially conserving energy, and water. You could also describe the flip side of how bad global citizens might act, things such as pouring used motor oil on the ground to dispose of it. Wasting resources. Buying gas guzzling cars and trucks (I'm guilty of this one). Probably good global behavior would be better, but you could fill in time with examples of bad global behavior if you need to. Good luck!

Good parenting is the key to everything you become. No matter how much we try we usually end up being like our parents. This is not always true but, alas, we are all victims of our upbringing. Global citizenship is based on a broader version of this as we are victims of the society in which we are raised. For example: racism begats racism. I hope this helped you.

Charity is not just something you give to people you love or your friends... charity is kindness, consideration or humanity given to anyone.

Each of us is a citizen of planet Earth, each of us has responsibilities to our home planet as a result of that citizenship. Its like saying we are trustees of the planet.
Little things we do, such as discarding plastic, have a monstrous CUMULATIVE effect, so small changes can have a great cumulative effect for the positive.
Additionally your second line infers some reference to the fact that most of us internet accessing peoples, are in fairly comfortable living circumstances compared to many in the world. As a global citizen, perhaps we have opportunities for charitable activities, which benefit the other citizens we share the planet with.
