Child abduction is ' massive' according to Maddies parents and what they are doing now with youtube and any other means will go to help search for missing cildren
Don't keep targeting them with your alterior motives
They have paid the price.
Good luck to them and all organisations that look to the positive to try and pick up the pieces of peoples lives.
Who knows it could be you or I who need help.
Let's hope it does not come to that.

I can never explain the feeling I had when my daughter who was 17 weeks premature, died after just 48hrs on this earth. To have a healthy child stolen after 5 years must tear the very heart from you. If any measures prevent just one child being taken, then we as human beings, must ensure it happens. Wise words Plato my friend.

I'm probably really dim, but HOW exactly is a video on youtube going to help find missing children? I don't see the connection, to be honest.
I would've seen the setting up of a task force and a fund to pay for private investigators to look at individual cases would be more productive.
I would think that raising awareness of the problem in general is a good thing, but to be honest, as a parent, I always worried about the bad things that could happen to my children if I left them untended, not only abduction, but accident or illness, and therefore always had a babysitter when I left them, and a baby monitor if I wasn't in the room with them.
I think that it's hard to listen to Kate and Gerry going on about protecting children in one breath, and justifying their behaviour in the next. If they acknowledged their poor judgement and showed some insight into the consequences of that judgement, I would take them a lot more seriously. It's the best way to highlight the need to adequately supervise your children - 'look what happened when we failed in our duties as parents - this could happen to you too'. I'd listen to that a lot quicker than 'Gee, how did that happen to us.... we were being so responsible...'
BTW, I don't have ulterior motives, I don't feel spite towards them, I don't hate them, and have mainained the same position on this whole sorry mess since the start. They MUST acknowledge their part in Madeleine's disappearance if they want to be effective in helping others.
Edit: NO THEY HAVEN'T!!! Show me a link to where they have. I think any instance you care to demonstrate shows them parroting rehearsed phraseology very clearly and deliberately designed to protect themselves against ANY indication of wrongdoing. They had that base covered from Day 3, when the lawyers were flown over...

I suppose anything that raises the profile and highlights the plight of missing children ,is a good thing. This McCann business is certainly doing that , but maybe there are negative effects springing from that case. A lot of children go missing, and Nushty is right when he mentions that boy Ben who went missing. I hope Maddy is found or a conclusion reached in a shorter time frame than that case.

anything that brings attention to all the missing children out there is welcome... as for maddie...neglect or guilt aside her parents have worked hard to keep her in the spotlight....i'm not going to judge their motives for doing so..i can only hope it isnt a smoke screen..but they have the medias attention and it has been an opportunity to highlight the plight of many other missing children...
wasnt there a case of a little boy called ben who was abducted while on holiday in a greek island a few years back? he'd be all grown up now..how do parents cope with that? so its good they get the chance to revive peoples interest in these missing children...and if just one child out of all of them is found because of it it will have been worth it regardless of what some people see as the motive behind the McCanns actions

Anything that raises the profile of missing children is a positive step. Maddie has had a lot of publicity (and rightly so) and raised the issue of child abduction / paedophile rings/ child traffiking to the forefront of of the publics mind. People who pry on vunerable children should be hunted down and caught - then severely punished. This is the worst form of crime there is.

....and I suppose you are?
Madeleine's parents are doing everything they can to throw a spanner in the works to keep people from asking awkward questions. There isn't even any proof that Madeleine was abducted. The mystery has not been solved yet. So no one really knows.

Child Abduction is 'massive' and had the Mcganns been living in the real world instead of their own little shell they would've realised that in the first place, never left their kids alone and thus Maddie would still be with them.
These people make me angry, any parent knows that abduction is massive, thats why we never leave our kids. Its only the high class citizens who think they are over and above it all that do dumb things like that.
No they've not paid any price for it, the people of the world are paying the price for it, but the one whos really paying for it is Maddie. Its her and her alone I feel for.
