What purpose do problems and difficulties have for us?

to mature you as a person - to make you the kind of person you are going to become.
if something doesn't kill you it makes you stronger.
i found that's true - trials do make you a stronger person.
also when you have endured trials - it helps you have compassion on others who have trials.

Difficulties have no purpose. Difficulties exist simply because we are alive and live around other people.
But even though difficulties have no purpose, does not mean you cannot gain from them either.

We are human and we make mistakes. Some of those mistakes happen hundreds of years ago and we are still paying the price for it. Example.....too many sexual partners breed STD. Had humans stuck with one partner it wouldn't be happening. There are car accidents because people are careless.
For ever action there is a reaction. For instance.......drinking to much is a bad choice. It can be a family problem for generations.......Unless a generation changes ,, each generation will pay the high price of a destructive habit. And leads to liver diseases.
God created the world perfect. Once we were given freedom of choice.......we had to pay for the consiquences of humanity behavior.
Nature is also free .......which means that there are earth quakes, tornados etc.
Sometimes i see like like a huge dice that we roll and we either roll a good happening or a bad one.
My son dies 5 years ago. I can't make sense of it, except that as humans non of us know how long we have on this earth.
It is down to cause and affect. Humanity does something and there are long term conquences for the price paid down the line of time.
The purpose? not sure. But, I do know that our freedom of choices brings about the bad things in the world.

Problems & difficulties have no inherent "purpose." The road isn't "plotted" with bumps & pot holes to test us. To think this would be giving "thought" & "intent" to the natural events of life. We also experience joys & fullfillment. What is their "purpose?"

Because life is made up of problems and challenges. How we handle those problems and challenges determine what type of quality of life we will have and how satisfied we are in our lives. Many people end up stronger or a better person by overcoming obstacles in life. Good luck in whatever your situation is.

the problems and the difficulty are there in your life to make you more stronger and to ENHANCE YOUR PERSONALITY!!
until and unless they are not there in your life ,you will live a bordom life and useless life
the situaions and the conditions are all planned by the ALL MIGHTY!!!!
even animals do lead their life which is full of difficulties!!
for eg ,a rabbit tries to protect itself from tiger till the very end of his life

i believe that without problems and difficulties,life will be dull.also,problems may be the root of something good that will happen to you.

The problems and difficulties that we experience in our life are nothing but the fruits of oue own deeds in our previous birth. God has given us this unique faculty to choose right from wrong. Problems and difficulties in our life are of our own making. I would hghly recommend you to read "Many Lives Many Masters" written by Dr.Brian Weiss that is an International Bestseller and it would amply anwer your question in great detail. Just read it.
