I would recommend checking with your pharmacist as well to see what they say. Also, ask your doctor about a birth control pill called Femcon. This birth control is a newer version of one called Ovcon 35 but the thing that makes it different than the Ovcon 35 is that this one is designed so that people can chew it if they have problems with swallowing.

It should be ok but have you tried taking the pills with water or something?

I used to have a heck of a time swallowing pills whole.

Then I went and got a glass full of water, put the pill far back on my tongue, tilted my head back slightly, and started drinking the water, and the pill went down!

No it is not OK to crush the pill. Do this instead, my son has trouble swallowing pills too... we did this when he was just a toddler and it really helped. Take the pill, put it at the back of your tongue, take a BOTTLE of water or soda..anything, right after you put the pill at the back of your tongue ( not so far you gag though) the suck the fluid through and swallow really quickly. It also helped him to put it in peanut butter a small tab, that he could just gulp down.
