I've seen a lot of people around me get betrayed by someone that "loved" them and the person that "loved" them ruined there lives

Wouldn't be jaded if I hadn't "seen" almost all my uncles and father and both brothers and myself get screwed over by someone that "loved" them

And a family friend in which love tore my uncle and his best friend apart and left the family friend paying child support till he's 60

I've been screwed over royally (beaten, cheated on, and stole from) and yet I'm not jaded as people who have only had minor relationship drama. In fact I've been happily married for a year.

You have to find the right person, not compare an "ex" to everyone else. take it easy for a while & "true love" will come sooner or later. (I felt the same but I'm not gonna refuse dating for life cause of an ex-girlfriend).
