I need a good soap to watch during the current time slot of Passions. I don't have DirectTv, so unless they put it on SoapNet I won't be seeing it again. I have never watched any soaps on any other network but NBC. I'll take the majority of answers and watch the soap that is recommended the most. Remember, it can't be during DOOL. Thanks.

I enjoy both Y&R and General Hospital. I also watch One Life to Live but it has gotten so boring lately I have actually been tuning in to watch Passions so I won't reccommend that one. Neither of them are anything like Passions but Y&R revolves more around the families and GH revolves more around the mob dealings and Sonny/Jason/Elizabeth. GH tends to focus on a main set of characters for awhile and then switches to another set. Either one would be a good replacement.

What part of the country do you live in.
I like As The World Turns which is on from 1-2 pm in the Mid West. I also recommend Young and the Restless that comes on much later 4-5 pm in the midwest.
CBS fan of soaps.

Y&R has been the top-rate soap for 18 years now and just recently won the Emmy for "Best Daytime Drama" (tied with Guiding Light). It is consistently recognized as the best written, best acted soap on television.
You need to ween yourself off DOOL. NBC has announced it will not be renewed after the 2008 season.

I'm not sure of the time slot that passions comes on but i have 3 recommendations 1pm All My Children, 2pm One Life To Live, 3pm General Hospital all on ABC. then General Hospital Night Shift is on Soap Net on Thursdays at 11pm

Passion was on at 2pm on NBC, I have been watching One Life to Live at 2 pm on ABC. It is a great soap, take a few days and watch and make up your mind.

If you like mob stuff and romance, and lots of it watch General Hospital. There are some storylines that aren't the best but that's how every soap is. It's on ABC at 3:00 eastern and I love it. I only watched NBC soaps too. But Passions always sucked. What's wrong with NBC? Passions is going to be picked up on another station in a few weeks. I forget which one. When they cancel days...that's so crazy. I hope like HELL someone picks it up!
