How, this is how to work it out:
Take the first fraction and add the two numbers together (1 + 2) and you get 3. This is the top number on the next fraction. Now add the 3 to the bottom number of the previous fraction (3 + 2) and you get 5, which is the bottom number on the next fraction.

There is a famous sequence of numbers called the Fibonacci Sequence. Each number is the sum of the previous two numbers. It is:
1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, 55, 89, 144, 233, etc.
The sequence is unending. Your sequence is based on this. It takes the numbers by twos starting with the second number and forms them into fractions.

denominator is the sum of the numerator of the same fraction and the denominator of the previous one.
ie 1+2=3
3+2=5
5th number is (34+21)/(34+21+34)=55/89
