sounds like a leaking radiator cap. simple to fix just replace the cap with one that matches it exactly, up to and including the pressure rating.

Definitely sounds like a faulty radiator cap. Install a new one for just a few bucks from an auto parts store or Wal-Mart. Should clear up your problem of hissing and spitting.

the engine is always hot when it is running. thermostat might be normal, but still the internal combustion of the engine produces heat.

check always the water in the radiator and add coolant.

TRY FINDING AN INDEPENDENT SHOP INSTEAD OF THE DEALER OR A CHAIN STORE BECAUSE YOU WILL BE OVERALL MORE PLEASED WITH THE FINDINGS AND THE SERVICE.

LEAVE IT THERE WITH THEM SO THAT THEY CAN FIND THE PROBLEM FOR YOU, IT WILL BE A LOT BETTER THAN JUST REPLACING PART AFTER PART AND NOT DOING ANY GOOD.
