I recently had my first pap smear. It was extremely uncomfortable. I'm worried. Is that how it feels when you first have sex or after? Yes, I'm a virgin.

Well, the first pap smear is usually uncomfortable for a mulititude of reasons. I can tell you the rest won't feel quite as nerve wracking, though, because at least next time you will know what to expect. The first time you have sex will be an entirely different sensation, but how uncomfortable you will feel, or even how it will feel is anybody's guess. Too many variables there to even get into, although at least it won't involve a metal speculum and you will presumably really want to do it. The pap smear shouldn't have left you feeling sore, though, and that is something that your first experience will likely leave you. I think we can assume you haven't got an intact hymen, so you probably won't bleed afterwards, and that will also make the first time more enjoyable for you. Otherwise, there isn't a lot of comparison between the two, and it's something you will really have to find out for yourself. If you have a good and patient partner, and you take your time, though, it will be a more enjoyable experience. I mean, while women as a rule don't ever learn to enjoy pap smears, there are plenty who do enjoy sex. If one were too similar to the other, it certainly wouldn't be so.

A pap smear on a virgin..hmmmm. That is not usually done unless said virgin is having problems. No, sex doesn't hurt like that, and, the pap shouldn't have hurt either. The only slight pain you will feel the first time with sex is the hymen when it breaks, but that is not a big deal. Make sure your first partner is a gentle man, and knows that you are a virgin. If you have allot of foreplay before the actual penetration, making your more lubricated, the insertion of the penis is almost mind blowing. Once the hymen is broken..and that is just a very very quick discomfort, the sex part is very nice, better than nice with the right man,and if he takes his time with you. A pap smear is done when you are just laying there, with a stranger between your legs, taking samples of your cervix. Where is the romance in that?? The very best thing you can do for sex AND your next pap is to make yourself relax. With the pap, make sure your legs are spread WAY out, like butterfly wings, and keep your butt on the table. That works with sex too. But the GYN won't kiss you and make you feel all gooey inside.
Let the first time be special. You only get one first time. Be honest with your partner, tell him that you are a virgin and afraid of what might happen. Make sure he wears a condom !! Relax, kiss, cuddle, use allot of foreplay ( vaginal stimulation and breast stimulation), they all make your vagina much more reactive to the penis making it's presents known to you.

Yes sometimes a pap smear can be uncomfortable. One main reason it can be is because of being nervous about having it done which is not uncommon for the first time. If you are still feeling pain a week or so after your pap smear I would recommend getting in touch with your doctor to let them know what's going on.

As for the issue of sex, I've talked to friends who are married and they said it can vary from person to person when it comes to that aspect.

I would recommend talking to your doctor about this as well to see what they say.

i became instructed that once you start up getting your era usually it is a stable theory to a minimum of choose for an preliminary Pap smear. yet there extremely isn't something that needs checking until eventually you alter into sexually lively. And in case you're nonetheless a virgin at 18 remember to make an appointment with a gyno besides.

strange that u go for pap smear when u are still a virgin. anyway no harm. no, it is not how u should feel during your first time. it should depend how your partner do it. if you are very wet there, the feeling should be very good but u may feel a little bit pain after that.

no, during sex they don't scrape your cervix with a cold sharp metal object!!!
rather, the object in question is warm, blunt, and softer than metal (tho some guys would disagree with the last part j/k)
the only pain is from the hymen getting broken (at the entrance to the vagina)
the cervix is much more sensitive, so this won't feel like that.
