i haven't known to many str8 guys writing messages on the back of a picture and giving it them lol.
also depends on the message of encouragement.
humans are a strange species though, maybe guy-a is trying to be nice **shrugs** who knows. unless u catch 'em in the act, i wouldn't fret around about it.

Its possibly gay. There's just not enough information for you to make an assumption either way. Certainly, there are many ways to explain the situation. The "words of encouragement" might offer more insight, or they may not. If you think its really important to know, then keep observing before you come to a conclusion. Still, prying into the private lives of people can be a dangerous thing. I wouldn't recommend it, unless Guy-a is your boyfriend, in which case you probably have a right to know.

It sounds like Guy-A is just a caring type of guy and trying to be supportive to a friend. Just because a guy is caring doesn't mean he's gay.

Well it would depend on what exactly they did but from your description its sounds like two rivals putting aside their differences and becoming freinds nothing gay about that.Has one develouped feelings for the other?

No that doesn't sound gay at all. People who hate each other become friends all the time.
I can see why you would think that, but I just think it sounds like them finally seeing eye to eye, and thus getting along.

I would consider it somewhat confusing and not really important to anyone except the two guys involved. If it's gay, it's their business, really.

Gay means being exclusively attracted to the same sex. There's no way to know from that if anybody is gay.
