yes.....100%
its having sometimes in between which makes me totally agree with that.......if it was only having one part, ie., People never know how special someone is until they leave
or its important to leave, so they are given that chance to see how special that someone really is!

then it would be difficult to agree!!
i hope you got wjhat i mean to say!!

Although there may be some trueth in it....I don't agree with it. Lots of people know they have someone special in their lives and appreciate and love them. And if they have to leave in order for you to see that they were special...then you probably didn't deserve them in the first place. So Nope I don't agree....hahahah hope you enjoy all your answers!!

Yeah. I totally agree with that. It totally applies to my whole life. I have friends back at my old town who are very precious to me, now I moved to another place I really miss them a lot and all those stuff we had I never seemed to cherish, I miss it a lot. Now I'm depressed. *Sigh*

"You don't know what you got 'til it's gone"

Another example is a fic I read about an anime called Samurai 7. It asks there "Why does samurai have to kill" the samurai answers that, because the person dying will have someone who morns for him and he'd be happy his afterlife, knowing that he's appreciated

Agree. We are blind when we have something special that doesn't seem to be currently. Later, our eyes open wide to realize that special something is gone and was...well, special after all. I really love that quote, too.

No because of another saying, "You can never step into the same river twice." Once you leave, you can never come back to the same dyamic - things change, especially feelings, love fades, hearts hurt, distance creates, well - distance. You need to learn to keep the relationship strong - while you're in it.

I have mixed feelings about this one. I agree but with some reluctance because I wouldn't want to under appreciate someone and then as a result find that I did when they are gone.

Yes, Sri Aurobindo says:"Whatever or whomever you have handed over to the Divine, you should not be attached any longer or anxious about him or it(her) but leave all to the Divine to do for the Best."

why can't people realize how special someone is while they are still in their presence?...Maybe we think were missing something bigger and better that the world will give to us, but then we realize that it's not what the world holds for us, it's what we bring to it. (I say we because I am not a perfect human being)

I agree to disagree with the quote 'starchild!' Are you saying that you do not know how special your mother is until she leaves? Likewise are you saying you do not know how special your friends are till they leave? Sweetie, learn to recognize the goodness in your near and dear ones now when they are with you. Don't wait till it’s too late!!!
