This is tough without more info. It depends a lot on the type of business you own. As someone above mentioned, bidding is a common practice in many businesses. And it's all about sales, sales, sales. That's why good salespeople earn top dollar. A good quote to remember is "In business, nothing happens until somebody sells something!". However, your approach will depend a lot on who your potential customers are. Also critical, establish a great track record with the customers you have. If you treat people well and provide a high quality product/service (I mean not just what's expected, but over the top) your past customers will be your best sales staff and you don't have to pay them!! good luck, peace

Write a business proposal and pitch it to the company. Some of the larger companies allow you to bid for the contract, and they choose the vendor that offers them the most for the least amount of money.

You've already got good advice so go knock on doors and make those phone calls. Just find out who does the purchasing, make an appointment and make your proposal. You'll learn as you go so save the biggest fish until you have practiced on some small ones. Lots of luck.

I even have carried costs for a number of months on jobs that I even have performed for them purely to take heed to " We purely don't have the $ attainable precise now. " I many times obtain value from them precise till now they desire me to do yet another super setting up and my value has a tendency to be somewhat greater while they owe me for late invoices.
