Join the Peace Corps for a year. Since you're a freshman you have plenty of chances to pad your stats. Not only is a good GPA and MCAT score necessary, you must balance yourself out. Join some clubs and become an officer, join a school sports team(this may be hard since it's CAL & D1), volunteer at hospitals or health clinics, or do some lab research and publish a paper.
