I worked at an assisted living facility for old people and left with a day's notice. I could not stand my new supervisor or the thought of going in again. It's been a couple of months now and I still haven't found a job. My boyfriend has been helping with bills and expensives and he is fed up with me. I have tried all kind of things, but no one wants me. How do you present yourself to a potential employer with this kind of record. I suffer from a lot of anxiety and panic attacks and I am just about to got out of my mind. Please do not be mean, I already am mean enough to myself.

Sounds like we are both experiencing the same situation right now. My husband is getting fed up with me because I have quit quite a few jobs the past year and have left him to pay all the bills.

I would redo your resume, give valid excuses for you leaving the job like a possible career change. While you are looking for another job get some counseling, it really helps and try not to dump more on your boyfriend, it sounds like he is already a little stressed out. It should not be his job to take care of your job issues. I was doing the same thing to my hubby and it almost broke him and our relationship.

Focus on the future and never forget how you are feeling right at this moment, this will help you fight through your next job no matter ho hard it gets.

I just got a job and it was difficult for me too because of my job record. You just need to prove to them why you would stay at the job longer than the others.

Hope this helps.

Dont be mean to yourself because everyone will be mean to you if you treat yourself that way.
When you approach a potential employer, try not to say you couldn't stand your former supervisor. Say that you want a job with them and your leaving your previous job had nothing to do with the people you worked for/with but everything to do with the kind of job you would be happy to do.

first you have to stop putting so much pressure on yourself

you had a legitimate reason for leaving your last job , you just need to tell any prospective employers that you were unable to continue with that job due to not having a good relationship with your boss

remember to be positive when interviewing , forget the past and make sure to tell them how much you would like to work for them and would appreciate the chance to show them what you can do for them

you were strong enough to leave your last job instead of staying in a job you werent going to be happy at , so good for you..........
now get out there and stand tall and get that next job

can try an employment agency also

you can do it ...........now go.............be strong ........do it........

Maybe you might need to look into some different kinds of jobs at least until you reestablish yourself . Some thing less
responsible with a high demand for personnel . Lower your standards and establish your level of dependability again.

you are not confident enough and have plummet self esteem.

First - you have to develop self confidence and self esteem, don't self pity. be responsible person! all empoyer want a reliable and responsible employee, demonstrate that!

second - don't rely on your boyfriend with all that. he will resent you for it in the end. Be self reliance but get support from your bf in developing your self confidence.

third - learn new skill, study and self improvement to increase your self worth.

fourth - get a low paid job but a chance to learn more and dun be choosy in the job! people find job and job don;t find you! remember that.

you might not get hired at the old place b/c I think minimum is 2 weeks; unfortunately the way you left probably did not leave a good impression

don't tell your new employer about this past job and how it ended.
be confident,
someone needs you out there,
you just need to find them
