And is charging your iPod to your laptop bad also? Since both softwares take up MAJOR space on my laptop, do you think my poor laptop will exhaust and breakdown?

Limewire is very bad for your laptop. It contains viruses and everything else. It takes up too much space and slows your computer down tremendously. As for iTunes, it's fine to have on your computer. I don't charge my iPod on my computer. I charge mine from a wall adapter. I don't think it would be a good idea to charge it from your laptop.

Neither one is going to cause your computer to wear itself out just because they are big programs. The downside to Limewire is that you run the risk of getting viruses and spyware. Since iTunes is a legitimate program (and you know what I mean by that) you don't run those same risks. As for charging your iPod, if the laptop is connected to the wall outlet at the time its not a big problem, though I would use a desktop or a wall charger is possible. If you are running on battery though, you will drain the laptop batter much faster.

Both are bad. I hate it that the iPod only works with iTunes!
