I have a lot of nice items, Gap, Old Navy, Abercrombie, etc that are in great condition and I want to sell them in a garage sale. What are fair prices? What about dresses? Skirts? Jeans? I am stuck!

I'd say $2/each. I know you probably want more, but is your goal to recover money or to get rid of things you don't want?

It's a lot easier to sell childrens' clothes than adult as kids fit into most anything and, well, as you know, adults are harder to fit the larger the size gets. Since most people don't offer dressing rooms at their garage sales, people are taking a chance at having a good fit by buying adult clothes.

Good Luck!

Remember it is a garage sale. Most people expect to find very low prices at garage sales since it is not a second hand store. If you price it close to what people would pay in a second hand store, you will likely not sell much and have a lot left over.

Good Luck.

It really doesn't matter what brand or condition the clothing is. You won't get more than $2 - $4 for any item at a yard sale. People come to sales expecting dirt cheap and they get it ant so many places if your stuff costs more they'll just move on.

I've gone to tons of garage sales and had 1 myself. For some reason people don't seem to buy clothes (adult) much. Maybe it's because they can't try them on and so aren't going to pay alot get them home and find they don't fit.
You might think about a consignment store instead, you'd probably do better.
Mine I ended up giving to charity, just needed them gone.
