I asked myself that question today when one of the right wing talk show dummies was raving on about his 'Stop Hillary Express'. Saying untrue things about someone for the purpose of injury is slander. I'd like to see some politician simply sue the bejesus out of some of these @#$% heads. Now if it's true, you can say anthing you want. But to say that Sen. Clinton is a 'communist'? Low blow, and unless Hannity can prove that, he should be hauled into court and be forced to prove it. I don't know if Bush could defend himself from being called an incompetent boob, but if it bothers him that people say those things maybe he ought'a sue 'em....let's let a jury decide!

Why should he? People have the right of free speech, you know. All politicians get smeared; BIll Clinton was no exception and neither was Reagan or Nixon, Ford, Carter or even Kennedy. Is part of the job.
You ain't the President to make buddy-buddy with everyone; your job is to lead the most powerful nation on the planet; of course you'll get called all kind of names; is in the job description.
Bush is far from being the perfect President, he's just the one that had to deal with the situation at hand. Is a shame that people don't use common sense and logic to understand what he's going through... Oh, sure! He's doing it for the oil, blah! Blah! Cheney wanted his buddies at halliburton to get millions... Blah! Blah! He has Iraqi oil being pumped into underground tanks under his Texas ranch... Blah! Blah!
It just proves how ill-informed people really are about politics. They scream and shout foul play about Bush, but they are often very silent about Clinton, Whitewater, the leak of missile technology into China and the whole Waco fiasco.
Typical. :-/

You don't win hearts and minds by murdering people. First night of shock and awe and about 6000 innocent Iraqi's died, how is that morally acceptable. There were a lot worse places than Iraq for the US to look at and assist. Then US starts an illegal war, persists with an illegal occupation and then tortures people and wonders why the US (leave alone Iraq) is not the beacon of democracy and morality that others want to emulate. Bush abused his power and US will pay dearly for it, he has proved he cannot even control one small country that wasn't anywhere near the power of others in the area. It has been a colossal failure and history will show those you say who slander him are simply the patriots who care about their country and social justice rather than Bush's nationalistic agenda. The Nazi's were behind Hitler too, supporting their troops and not criticising - this is not a democracy.

Alpha Male, you may provide up asking questions like those for the reason which you're in basic terms allowing your self to get pissed off. The greater you attempt to justify your self (no count if actual or incorrect) the greater you will grow to be pissed off. i do no longer ask many questions. no longer because of the fact of frustration yet just to work out how human beings will respond. If I post a query to which i'm already confident of the respond, then all I rather have carried out is shown bias. keep in mind, in spite of what human beings think of, they do have a real to their strategies and comments.

he can sue. its a right granted in the constitution. The person just has to have knowledge that the information is false in order for it to be "actual malice". The statement[s] must also be somewhat believable in order for the courts to do anything. If the statement were "injurious to another in their trade, business, or profession", allegations "of loathsome disease", allegations of "unchastity", or of crime is considered Defamation per se. These do not need to have proven damages.
