first off i was wondering if the size of truck (1500,2500,etc.) has anything to do with the actual metal body of the truck bed. for ex. would a 1500 bed work on a 2500 truck ( if the beds were same size)? my other question, i would like to put a thiner 8 ft. bed, with wheel wells on the outside, on my full size 8ft. bed with wheel wells on the inside. can you do this?

you want to put a stepside bed on a pickup with a regular bed.

You are talking about Flairside bed instead of a style side bed. I'm sure it can be done. There shouldn't be too many modifications required to fit. good luck.
