How do you link images?

How can I link images. For example I want to take a certain picture and code it so that when someone clicks on it, it takes them to a certain site.

Like an html code? [url=http:/whatever.com]here you can write whatever you want [/url]


just replace the http:/ etc for the link of the picture you want to show it has to be on a server, like in a website or myspace, photobucket, etc.
this is an example, you write what you want and appears just the text as a link
