Shakespeare movie "A Midsummer Night's Dream" question?

I was watching the 1999 version of "A Midsummer Night's Dream". I am ASSuming that they followed Shakespeare's play, but you know what happens when you assume.

My question is: Titania came back from India with a little boy. Oberon wanted the boy. Why?

because he was jealous of her attention being focused on the boy.. he wanted the attention on himself.. his logic being that if he has the boy, he'll get the attention..
