*are plastic. (typo)

well, right now the super glue is stuck on there, and the lens is not showing any signs of damage. Can i be safe to assume it's glass?

Acetone softens the super glue enough so that it can be rubbed off, but if your lens is plastic, the acetone will ruin it.

Glass lenses tend to be heavier than plastic ones of the same size, but with the styles of eyewear nowadays (small lenses), it's hard to tell by weight alone. I can't think of a good (non-destructive) way to tell them apart.

Look at it this way: if the lens is plastic, it's ruined anyway (by glue or acetone), and if it's glass, it can be saved, so try the acetone anyway.

It's easy to tell.
If they're plastic, the super glue has acted as a solvent and ruined the lens. If they're glass, you can simply lightly scrape of the glue with your fingernail and then clean the lens in the usual way.
Hopefully, they're not plastic - but then again, better on your glasses than in your eyes.

Try scratching an inconspicuous place on the lens with a pin. Glass will not get scratched; plastic will. Acetone on a cotton bud (ear bud) can be applied to a small spot. Damage if any can be confined.

use acetone to remove the glue.
try to tap your lens a bit , you can tell from the reaction of the lens if it is a pladtic one or not. but i dnt think that there is a plastic lens that really works like a true lens. its more like a windshield with no magnifying power

Take it to the eye glass store, acetone will ruin your glasses if they are plastic. Let the professionals handle the problem. ;)
