S Is anyone on yahoo a CNA? How do you manage to have enough time to finish your job right on time?
I just started my job and I always end up finishing an hour later than my clock out time. My work doesn't allow us to work overtime though, so I'm a little in trouble.

How do you manage to get everything done on time? I only take my lunch break and not the in betweens to try to get things done. Is it because I'm new to this job that's taking me still a little longer than i should?

I always rush, and I don't waste any of my time chatting or taking minibreaks

My sister is a CNA and she says until you get to know your clients, and know their schedules you'll never finish on time

Be patient you'll get it down to a science...!@

Then you are an excellent CNA. That I would say is one of the hardest jobs there is and so under appreciated. It is nice to know that there are some in the world that actually work hard because so many of the ones I have worked with are much more interested in what they are doing after work (and spend a lot of time on the phone talking about it) than they are their jobs. Keep up the good work.

I used to be a CNA and it took me a while to get to where I could get my stuff done in a timely manner. Getting to know your residents, their schedules and needs will help greatly. I am assuming you work the day shift? That is the toughest shift there is, go go go.. Jot down info during the day, so you don't have to go back and visualize things (such as I & O) which will speed up charting. Keep up the good work, and don't worry. You'll have this down in no time.
