When you say "cheap" are you willing to trade quality for craftsmanship? do you want the job done, or the job done right.

Your talking about a lot of work here and you want it done cheap ?
Look in the local papers for people out of work and willing to work for little to nothing for gas and beer money, that's what your going to get. Make sure you get the needed materials and all necessary equipment. Don't pay for work that isn't finished and watch all your materials and goods around the area so it doesn't disappear.

Or, you can hire a contractor or Carpenter that's between jobs but, will work for a little less than salary but, a fair price.

You get what you pay for.

I know of one carpenter that worked for cheap labor, he built his garage and added a bedroom to his house, finished his basement and bragged about it, all from materials from other people jobs he did. He did get caught eventually.

The first word that caught my attention in your question was *cheap*
Most times, when something is done cheap, it's not done right. Corners are cut, materials are left out or too small for what's needed and I can go on and on. I know we're not all made of money, but if you can't afford to do it right, may start with doing less right now and then saving to do the rest later.
You will find someone to do it cheap, that I have no doubts about. But, will it be done right? That I do doubt.
I have been in the reno business for about 20 years now and have yet to do something cheap. That I refuse to do. If something isn't right later on, what do you tell your friends and others? That *I* screwed up, not that you wanted cheap. So, it's my name that goes down the tube. I do the job right, or not at all.

first of all how can someone help you when you leave out alot of information. Where you live, state and town. However, the best advice I can give you is to check with your local BBB office and ask friends whom have had work done, who they used and what were their prices. Word of mouth is the best way to go, this way you get the 411 on if they finish the job on time, or if there is any complaints. Not all people report shabby work to the BBB. Good luck with your search.
