Puff, puff, pass.......

I've seen this paranoia coming from both liberals and conservatives, both republicans and democrats, both Christians and atheists (on the religion boards). It seems to be a manifestation of how we notice more often when someone disagrees with us than when they agree with us.

Yahoo rarely censors questions for their bias, only for how obnoxiously they are phrased.

Yahoo doesn't censor anything. Those idiots put that little abuse hyperlink on their and ANY whiney idiot can click it. That's all Yahoo needs! They don't read the question, they don't read the answers. If someone complained, you've been yanked. End of story!

My all time favorite "violation" of the terms of service was the time some moron typed a completely unintelligible question. My "answer" was simply:

What?!

Yahoo sent me an email stating that I had violated their terms of service. I should have sent them the same response:

What?!

:-)

I don't think they do. I see many questions from both sides.

And Yahoo is based out of one of the most liberal cities in America, San Francisco, so I don't think they would do that unless it violated a community guideline. Maybe there's a glich and your question will post later.

Alot of those questions are full of hate and ridicule that go against several rules in the yahoo standards.

It depends on how the specific question is asked.

If it appears you're just baiting for a forum fight, your effort will be removed. The neo-cons get just as much 'censorship' as the left, some complain even more.

Don't go spoiling for a fight when you phrase your question and you'll do much better.

If someone clicks on the "Abuse" link, you're yanked. There are human beings who look at these things, as I got an email with the word "violation" misspelled, but nobody actually investigates these things.

It doesn't. It censors ones that are not questions or that contain offensive material.

I have never been banned, unless I called any specific neocon a p---y, if they were eligible for military service and did not sign up.

Probably because they're Republicans and the way things are going for them lately they have to keep damage to a minimum

Because Yahoo is owned by a company that has benefited greatly from the Republican greed & corruption of the past 6+ years.
