Because the lyrics actually make sense, plus it's always catchy, expresses your emotions without you having to humiliate yourself (ok, scratch that off) rock doesn't only talk about sex, money, bars, girls,and so on, they vary topics, and who doesn't love a guitar solo??!!! ;)
