1 acre = 0.00156 square miles so 300 acres = 0.468 square miles.
300 acres is a lot of land but one-half square mile doesn't sound like a lot of land.
300 acres is a small farm an average city block or a really big funeral plot.

A square plot of land 3,615 feet by 3,615 makes a plot 300 acres.
Or a circular plot of land with a radius of 2,040 feet from center to edge.
Either way this would be 121.45 hectars or 13,068,000 square feet.
Hope this helped!

Hmmm.... Well, it's about 1.2 million square metres, or 13 million square feet.
So imagine a square about 3600 feet x 3600 feet. It's big!
If you're in the US, one acre is about 90% of the play area of an American football field.

It's really large. To give you an idea, think of how big an energy production plant might be. For example, check out the Bannister Federal Complex in Missouri.

30 days for investigative purposes is fine, provided they paid you a sum. Not only do you need a lawyer, you need a lawyer who handles only gas, oil and mineral rights. Best way to sell land such as yours is to agree to receive a certain percentage of mineral rights and you can sell them the land for a price. Mineral rights must not just include gas and oil, but many other things. This is why you have to be extremely careful. A percentage is best, can add up to tens of millions of dollars over time. You hit the jackpot!
