At my apartment I will have T-3 ethernet connection. With my macbook how do I connect to the internet via this type of connection??

My macbook only comes with an ac adaptor and the charger. Do I need to buy ne extra cables??

ONE MORE QUEST. .... what is the difference between the ac adapter and the one with the magnet and connects to the laptop itself???

How can I just make it wireless?

Now that is a nice arrangement T3 is a great connection. If your apartment provides an ethernet connector all that should be necessary is to plug an ethernet cable from your computer to the connector and it should connect you to the internet.

(I have to make the assumption that the apartment has a router attached to accomodate its users.)

If you want wireless all you really need is a wireless access point. You connect it to the ethernet outlet and then you will connect your computer wirelessly to that access point. You will have to "configure" the Access point first by adding a unique SSId and set the security but the software that comes with them tell you how. You can see an example of just an access point at http://www.dlink.com/products/?pid=326
or http://www.linksys.com/servlet/Satellite?c=L_Product_C2&childpagename=US%2FLayout&cid=1126536803676&pagename=Linksys%2FCommon%2FVisitorWrapper

You CAN use a wireless router for this also. The advantage would be that you can then setup your own private network apart from the apartments system. BUT it will take more configuration to work properly. (you will need to know some about how the apartment network is setup in order to avoid conflicting IPs etc. So to do that I would suggest you get some IT assistance. However, it is a great way to go even if you have to pay someone to set up your own router.

Sorry I have NO idea what you are talking about with the AC adapter?
