The best way to find out what is going on with your body, is to go see your doc. for a check-up. You need to be seen & have some test run. Usually, a strong fishy odor is not a normal smell. We all have different body odors, it usually isn't a fishy smell.

A fishy smell is a sign of an infection, it isnt normal, ordinary vaginal odors are not offensive, unless you eat 100 lbs of garlic a day. You have an infection, you need to see your doctor and get on some antibiotics. And so does the poster who thinks its normal ...
Myth: A "fishy" vaginal odor is normal.
Fact: The odor may be the result of bacterial vaginitis (BV), a condition more common and more serious than yeast infections.
According to the 3M National Vaginitis Association (NVA), if untreated, BV can lead to infertility or pregnancy complications, including pre-term birth. Symptoms of BV include a discharge, fishy odor and itching, which women often mistake for a yeast infection. "It's alarming when you consider the number of women who incorrectly self-diagnose their vaginal infections," says Daron Ferris, MD, of the Department of Family Practice, Medical College of Georgia. "Because there is a lack of information, these women may take matters into their own hands, use an over-the-counter antifungal and incorrectly treat what may be a serious vaginal infection."
Bacterial vaginosis is actually the most common vaginal infection in women of reproductive age. Bacterial vaginosis will often cause a vaginal discharge. The discharge is usually thin and milky and is described as having a "fishy" odor.

If it is out of the ordinary go see a doctor. A slight odor is normal but a foul odor can be a sigh of an std.
Sometimes after intercourse if a man ejaculates inside I have noticed a odor the following day or two, I suspect that all those dead little sperm fishes create this as I do not have that kind of odor at any other time other than the end of my period. I use a tampon after and discard it several hours or the next morning and that seems to take care of the problem . If this is not the case with you, go get checked, and don't be embarrassed, women need special care and your gynecologist is used to these kind of problems.

A fishy smell? That's not normal. You should see your doctor. You probably have an infection like BV or something.

It could be that you have large amounts of bacteria in the area, or that you need to switch to two showers a day. Try some talcum powder, and then go to your PCP.
