Best-Tie between Lincoln, Washington, F.D. Roosevelt, Kennedy, and my boy slick Willie Clinton.

Worst- Tie between Nixon, Bush Sr, and Bush Jr. By the end of it it will be W by a landslide, what a joke.

If Bill Clinton were still eligible to run until he died, he would never lose, and that really rubs you repubbies the wrong way doesn't it? That and your boy Bushie has sent us to hell in a handcart.

The Best: George Washington established the model of Presidential behavior; Abraham Lincoln preserved the nation; and Franklin Roosevelt led the nation through the Depression and World War II. I think of these Lincoln's achievement was the most magnificent.

The Worst: James Buchanan took no realistic steps to avert the Civil War; Warren G. Harding was a charming nonentity whose Administration was choked with corruption; and George W. Bush came to office with a mind completely inadequate for the job. Of these, I think Harding was the worst.

Since Was is in the question will refrain from citing Geo W - - - that said America had a One & a Two Punch to the Jaw in 1856 and 1860

America's Worst President was James Buchanan a vain pompous a (censored by Yamster) s who did nothing to stop the South from commiting treason....

America's Best President was Abraham Lincoln who remedied his predecessors mistake by taking the leading role in restoring the Union without which there would be no America as it is known in 2007....

Peace-------------------

(and Harding wasn't as bad as his Press as for Polk how bad was his pressing for war against Mexico other than that he was brilliant)

I think the best President we ever had was Lincoln. He had to handle one of the worst crises in US history. He had little support, yet he carried through what had to be done. Today his legacy still stands...we are one single nation.

The worst - The three single term presidents that came before Lincoln should be considered equals for the worst (Fillmore, Pierce and Buchanan) because they all sat back and allowed the south's problems to fester to the point of secession.

For those who put in President W - I'm no fan of W by any stretch of the imagination, but it is way too early to consider him the worst. We are going to need to see the size of the mess he created after he leaves office before we give him that dubious title. Hopefully, it won't be too terrible for the next President to fix. In the meantime, let's just hope that he and Pat Robertson do not lead us into World War III before 2008.
Take care.
