We do not have a king at the moment, we have Queen Elizabeth ll and her husband is Prince Phillip who is Prince Consort. He is a only a Prince because he was not the legal heir to the British throne. That honour went to his wife who was the eldest child of the last King. He could not be made king when they married as that would have made him a higher rank than the legal heir.

Queen Elizabeth is the Queen of Canada, and also of Australia and New Zealand, and quite a few other Commonwealth countries.

The Queen of Canada is also the Queen of Australia, the Queen of Grenada, the Queen of Papua New Guinea, the Queen of latest Zealand, and, sure, the Queen of the UK (amongst many other areas). Given where the realms are located, it can be certainly more right to say that Canada shares a queen with the Caribbean and Oceania than with Europe, but yeah, that is real too. This does not imply that the uk is in any way over Canada, though. Recollect that if the uk converted it's legal guidelines to make Harry King (for example), it wouldn't exchange Canada's line of succession and so in Canada, Charles after which William would be successful to the throne, not Harry. The monarchy would cut up. So Canada shares a queen, but it is an thoroughly independent crown realm with its own principles.

Currently the Queen of England is also the Queen of Canada (as well as Australia, New Zealand and a number of smaller nations). The British Royal family are known as the Royal family of Canada when in Canada or representing Canada abroad.

Yes. The Queen of England is the head of state of Canada. That means she has represents the country but does not have any real political power. The head of the government is the prime minister. It's different from the US, where the president is both the head of state and the head of the government.
