1.) I don't do the sign thing, but I mostly go to college games and it's more of a "I'm not carrying this huge thing across campus and back" thing than anything else. If I'm ever home and can afford a Sabres game, I'll probably make a sign with a Rick Jeanneret saying on it, I like the look of "Millerrrrrrrrrrr stops him cold!"
2.) They just built a new rink at school, but before when we were in good old Romney Field House, it wasn't much warmer inside than it was out so I alwaysgot hot cocoa or coffee and nothing to eat because it would get cold before I got back to my seat *sigh* good times.
3.) My Sabres had two different backups last year. I have loved Marty Biron ever since he played for the Rochester Americans in the AHL, still love him even though he went to Philly (and basically recruited Danny Briere to play there) and will continue to love him no matter where his career takes him. He's a solid goalie and he's always happy to talk to media, fans, whoever and never has anything bad to say about anyone. It's hard not to love the guy. As for Ty Conklin, meh. Didn't care for him. Don't care that he's gone.
4.) Old School Rob Ray versus Tie Domi was always great to see as far as players on my team fighting. Fight between anyone, well I think it'd be great to see Danny Briere punch someone in the face, maybe Zdeno Chara just because it would be funny as hell.

To answer your questions:
1. Back in 2000 when I went to Mario Lemieux's comeback game, I made and brought a Simply The Best #66 sign. I got off work early just to do that too! When I go to see the Penguins this season, I will make certain I make a flopping flounder wearing a #29 jersey in tribute to my "favorite" goalie.
2. I usually go for a soda or lemonade with no ice. I also like the nachos and fries at the Igloo as well.
3. When my brother (who is a Colorado Avalance fan, by the way) referred to Jocelyn Thibault, he didn't mention him by name. He instead called him always "the stiff who we traded for Patrick Roy". That kind of sums up my faith in Thibault, who like M-A F was a young, overhyped French-Canadian goalie who didn't live up to expectations (and oddly enough, lacked confidence). I was more in favor of guys like Nolan Schaefer and Dave Brown. Now that the Pens have Dany Sabourin and Ty Conklin (who may actually be worse than Fleury), I'm not so sure about the status between the pipes for Pittsburgh.
4. I'm old-school with the fighting. I love a good bout between the heavyweights. Strangely, I would like to see Sidney Crosby squab with Paul Kariya, and I really don't know why. I don't think it's going to happen, unless the Blues and Penguins meet in the Stanley Cup final...ha Blues!

1) I always forget to make a sign. I was going to make a "Thank you 66" sign for the game against the Sabres when Mario annouced the Pens arena deal, but sadly I couldn't get tickets.
2) I like nachos and any beverage. (does anyone else find nachos at an ice hockey game amusing?) Hot Dogs are always needed at any sporting event.
3) I hated Thibault at the start of last season, but he grew on me near the end. He really started to do well... and now he is gone; replaced by some other guy that I will hate.
4) I was to see Laraque kick the crap out of Jason Blake, because a $1,000 fine isn't enough.

Rangers 1. Hearing "SHOOOOT!!!!" everytime a guy touches the puck on a power play, whether he's behind his own goal line or has 3 guys laying out to block the SHOTTTTT!! 2. Nicky Fotiu, hometown Ranger from Staten Island. He had wicked wrister and used to skate full bore to the bench after his rare shifts. All his teammates were waiting for the one time Nicky would catch an edge and go through the wall. He was also great to the kids and took time to throw dozens of pucks into the stands after every pregame warmup. 3. Richter backstopped the Cup run, but I was always a huge Vanbiesbrouck fan. 4. Pittsburgh might be their biggest challenge this year, but there's nothing like beating the Islanders. Those guys tormented Ranger fans when I was growing up, so every win is like an ounce of payback. 5. I think Renney's a strong coach even though I'm having trouble getting over Jagr's line being on ice with under a minute left in game 5 of the Sabres series. Remember 7.7 seconds? Renney some has big names and even bigger expectations to deal with this year. This season could be his defining experience as an NHL coach.

Ducks fan here....
1.) I've been to many games but I never brought a sign. I almost brought one to a game I went to last year.....second round, game 5 against the Vancouver Canucks.....I almost brought a sign that said "Luon-GO HOME!" I'm not sure why I didn't.....
2.) I always get a hot dog and a soda, and then a churro afterwards :).
3.) Bryzgalov played poorly for us during the regular season actually.....he started out great, then kinda hit a very bad stretch (fed by all the injuries the team had suffered at the time) and then got better near the end. He played very well for us the first three games of the playoffs.
4.) I want Parros and Boogard (sp?) from Minnesota. I also wouldn't mind seeing Parros and Avery because I hate the little ****......and yeah Boogard can fight Avery also, since I'm sure he'd get his *** kicked :).

1) Definitely no signs. Not my style.
2) LaBatt's Blue and at the old Spectrum, the shrimp and fries
3) Great. Nittimaki is one of the best backups in the league.
4) I would love to see a rematch of the Philly/Ottawa game where the had 10 or so fights in about 30 seconds of playing time. Mark Recchi and Bryan Smolinski was the best fight of the night. The end of the game looked like an 11 o'clock men's league game. I wouldn't have wanted to be one of the players left on the bench after that one.

1) If you've gone/go to games, did/do you bring a sign? What does it say? If you yare/were going to a game, would you bring a sign? What would it say?
--Not a sign bringer, Don't think I will bring a sign.
2) Favorite stuff to eat/drink at hockey games?
--Pepsi, and I usually eat before games, but sometimes I'll get a pretzel or hot dog during intermission so I don't miss anything
3) How did you feel about your backup goaltender last year?
--LOL The Kings goaltending...Didn't make one feel to comfortable last season.
4) What fight including a player from your team would you like to see? What fight between 2 players from any teams would you like to see?
--Well my dream came true to see Avery fight Lappy (Laperriere) Of course when Avery was still with us and Lappy with the Avs, I always wanted to see Lappy whoop his a**. Ivanans is always fun to watch in a fight. I want to see Jack Johnson get in a fight next season.

1. I don't bring signs when I go to games, because there's enough of them at the games as is, and I just want to watch the game and enjoy.
2. I've only drank beer at hockey games a couple times since turning 21 (only been to four since then), but I prefer drinking Canadian beer at the game (hey what can I say? It's highway robbery, but I still enjoy it quite a bit).
3. Jocelyn Thibault was solid last year for the Pens. Best of luck to him in Buffalo.
4. Since we didn't see much of it last season, I want to see Georges Laraque play some fisticuffs more in the upcoming season. I'd like to see him go again with Donald Brashear, which he did in March against the Caps.

Canes fan:
1. Gone to games, but I don't bring signs. If I did it would probably taunt the other team, whoever it was. (1967 wasn't so long ago! for the leafs...)
2. Soda and Popcorn. good price value relatively speaking
3. Grahame is good, but doesn't come out and challenge the skater enough. He handles the puck great and did pretty well in the worlds for the US, playing every game and winning a good number of them, despite our team drawing 15-20 minutes of penalties every game. (20 odd against Canada..)
4. Scott walker beating up another guy a foot taller then he is. That was funny... Or Eric Versus Jordan Staal.
Any two? Crosby and Ovechkin for the entertainment value.

1) No, not a big sign bringer myself. I'd like to go to an Avs/Wings game in Detroit and bring a huge "WINGS SUCK" banner. I'll probly get killed though, lol.
2) Pepsi and anything else, nachos, hot dogs, subs, etc. As long as the line isn't too long, I don't like missing parts of the game just to get some food.
3) Which backup goaltender? The Avs had 2 and I felt pretty bad about both of them, lol. Theodore isn't too reliable, he'd better get his head on straight. Budaj looked good at the end of the season, I hope he keeps it up.
4) I'd like to see Scott Parker kick Derek Boogard's @ss. I'd also like to see Sean Avery getting @ss-whooped by Georges Laraque.
