ok ive been watching a one year old for like 3 days a week i dont get paid that much but i dont mind a baby soooooo my husband had to go to the feild caues hes in the army so there gone for a week so he tells the mother of the one year old that i would watch her 9 year old to!!!!!!!! my husband knows i dont care for big kids i would never wanna babysit one of them either the only reason why i watch the one year old is to kinda help the the mother so she can work but i would never wanna watch a 9 year old am i wrong to be mad? i think shes better off somwhere else what would yall do?

If I were the mom I'd rather know that you don't like watching older kids. I don't want my child being cared for all day by someone who doesn't really like the age that they're at...

I don't think anything is wrong with not wanting to watch the older child. Some people do not feel comfortable watching older children, you are one of them. I think you should tell the mother that watching both may be a bit much for you and if she could find someone to watch the 9 yr. old. I think you are doing the right thing by being honest with the mother and she will be glad you did..

It's never "bad" to not "want" to do something. Whether you should or should not do something is another thing. I don't know what your cultural values and expectations are and I don't know what your finanancial situation is. Because of these things it's impossible for me to know what the best thing for you to do is.
