Well I have a leather desk chair too and I'm sitting on a cushin.
Cause I ain't gonna shell out another 300 bucks for another one.

Keep it. Get a pillow to sit on for awhile. I have a thick foam
pillow that I sit on if my butt gets tired. I too have a leather
chair and they seem to make the rear get tired, or even a bit sore. Now that it's broken in it doesn't bother me.

Use cotton covered cushion, cotton doesnt harm the skin.

Just keep the leather chair somewhere. You'll never know when you're going to need it again.

Put a flat cotton pillow in the seat. If that doesn't work, buy a fluffier one.
