Hi Grace,
In New Zealand (where I live) and Australia everybody is listening to Isla Grant and Philomena Begley. They are a couple of Scottish/Irish singers that are absolutely awesome.
They say that Country Music originally started in Ireland ... these two gals are the best.
I sing and play rhythm guitar with my partner Tom two or three times a week around New Zealand. People love the songs. Also try Charley Landsborough ... he has a brilliant voice and is also Irish. Daniel O'Donnel and Shaun Wilson.
Alan Jackson, George Straite, Patsy Cline, Connie Francis.
Have fun ... there are lots out there from all around the world.
Get on the Net, search, and put in the title eg .....
DIVORCE lyrics midi
That way you get the words plus the music without singing.
If that doesn't work, go into my web-site www.highlandcountry.co.nz and pick some tunes off of "chris's page". The music is there and the words on the right hand side are in alphatetical order.
Have fun .... enjoy.

Dwight Yoakam is country with a bit of a rock twist in some of his stuff. Keith Urban is good country but not extreme country.

If you usually don't listen to country you might wanna listen to some that have crossed into the pop section.
The biggest cross-over artist I know is Shania twain, very pop/rock/country
