Burning sensation around the breast?

Question

The "burning" sensation is felt around one of my breasts, near the nipple area and also more at the bottom half of the breast than the top.
It also feels slightly warm.

I checked it and it doesn't seem like a bug bite, or anything else I can think of.
I've recently finished my period, however, could that be the problem?

I just want to know if it's anything I should be extremely worried about...
any good advice is appreciated.

Yes I am under 30.
It doesn't look like anything you've mentioned.
Nothing is coming out.
But it does burn and feels a little warm.

I've also checked it (because the doctor said to check regularly) for any signs of bumps that MAY be a sign of cancer.
I don't feel anything.

I am not trying to be gross, but I almost wish you could send me a picture so I could look at it and see if you ahve any skin changes. Please go look in a mirror right now and tell me what you see. First and most important--how old are you? Are you under the age of 30? (That is a serious question, please.) O.K., now is the part that hurts reddened in any way? Is there anything coming out of the nipple? How does the skin look? Does it seem thick to you? Does it look wrinkled? Does it feel rough?

I am NOT trying to scare you. Diagnosis is difficult over computer, as you know--and NOTHING can replace the advice of your doctor. Again, I promise, I am not trying to scare you. I'm sure you are fine.

OK, again, i swear, I am not trying to worry you in any way. I am glad you don't have any lumps.
However, there IS another kind of breast cancer that strikes women under 30 that doesn't get talked about. I AM NOT SAYING YOU HAVE BREAST CANCER. Nope, no way, nuh-uh.
But its true, there is another kind, called IBC--Inflammatory breast cancer. THERE ARE NO LUMPS with IBC and the symptoms you have described above... notice the nipple feels like it is burning, feels warm at the bottom are symptoms most women say they feel. Again, I am not trying to freak you out. I swear. I am sorry, really. And if I were there in the same room with you right now, I would give you a hug and tell you that most likely, its just me being a Nurse and that I get a little ahead of myself sometimes. Really. I do.
However, with that said, I think education goes a long, LONG way. Please, I am gonna beg here--PLEASE, if your breast feel the same tomorrow when you wake up (and now that I brought up the "c" word I'm sure you're gonna get a whole lot of sleep tonight), or if it feels worse, or if I have scared the crap out of you and convinced you that you have IBC, then PLEASE go TOMORROW and talk to your doctor.
Again, if anything, I hope I have at least educated you about IBC.

As always with medical questions, be sure to check this out with your doctor. It doesn't sound like anything you should be seriously worried about. Make a note of it to share with your doctor, and add anything else that comes up. My idea is that it might be an early sign of fibromyalgia, an illness that isn't life-threatening, but sticks around for life (at least so far.) But don't make assumptions, it could just be that you were somehow pressing on a nerve long enough to create that feeling. If it does turn out to be fibromyalgia it takes a long time for your doctor to gather enough symptoms to diagnose it. There is no blood or DNA test for it, so be patient, and keep track of your symptoms. Good luck.
