25 on a playoff roster, rosters can be expanded in September though.

Standard 25-man active roster. However, between series (not during), different players may be activated from the surplus among the full 40-man roster. (Say, the next opponent has serious lefty power, maybe deactivate a righty reliever and activate a southpaw.)

I'm uncertain how injury deactivation and replacement works during the postseason. Sufficiently serious injuries rarely happen. The last significant playoff injury I can recall is Eric Davis landing hard while making a catch in 1990, but that was the last game of the World Series so there was no need to DL him.

The first two answers are correct. 25 are on a playoff roster, and you can draw from your active major league roster dating from Sept. 1 to fill that roster. To answer the other question, a manager can remove and add players from the 25-man roster between each playoff round.

you must be on the active 40 man roster by semptembr 1st to be eligible to play in the playoffs.

if you are on that 40 man roster, you can be called up to play.
