well, it's tough. One of my favorites is "Hate Me" by Blue October. To me, it really captures the essence of people who have hit bottom.
Also, on a personal level, I drove around gthe country in a van for the summer last summer and I had a satellite radio. I would wait for it to come on and when it did (aorund once or twice a day), It just made my day. Very simple, but it made me happy.

LOL, this isn't my favorite song anymore, but "One Headlight" by The Wallflowers, honestly amazes me how poetic and detailed it is. I seriously am impressed by how it moves so effortlessly. To me, it feels complete, and it's rare for me to feel that a song doesn't need more work on it or like it has more potential.

"One More Time To Live" by the Moody Blues. It parallels a personal relationship with the condition of what we are doing to the planet. Very bitter-sweet.

"The nobodies" by Marilyn Manson
I love the music and the keyboard at the beginning. Also at the begining when he says "Today im dirty, want to be pretty, tomorrow I know Im just dirt." Maybe its just me but I like the way it sounds.
