It's like this: A long time ago, the moon was our favorite toy- a giant yellow ball at the end of our noses.
Our favorite game was; "Tap the Golden Ball." Every time one of us tapped, the ball glowed bright.
One night, the Golden Ball ran away. We miss it so.
Some nights, the ball, glowing bright, appears to be looking straight at us- and closer, so we keep howling till the Golden Ball comes home.

Because it's fun. It's kind of like singing once you get into it, really. Great way to express yourself, too, especially if you are feeling sad or lonely. And when a bunch of other wolves are all howling, it makes you feel closer to the pack.

The tone of our voice changes when it is full moon on certain part of the night. You realized that you sound better when you sing and how does the wolves feel .
